Oktoberfest in Dundas!

Posted

Join family, friends, neighbors, area businesses and non-profits as we celebrate Octoberfest in downtown Dundas! Help us usher in our 1st Annual Oktoberfest! Oktoberfest will be held rain or shine on Saturday September 23rd in downtown Dundas! So, put on your lederhosen and dirndls and get an Oktoberfest mug of beer, cider, root beer or root beer float to go with your pretzel, brat (meat and vegetarian), hot German potato salad and sauerkraut! Downtown Dundas will be lively with the sounds of The Bavarian Musikmeisters, a 35-member wind instrument German Band and The High 48’s! Enjoy and revel in a sense of Gemütlichkeit as you enjoy a full complement of events planned from noon until 6:30 pm! There will be something for everyone, from German themed foods and beverages to child friendly activities such as pumpkin painting and crafts, to artisans and horse drawn carriage rides! We’ll also have strider races, a bike rodeo and short kayaking trips (for a nominal fee).

Oktoberfest in Dundas is being brought to you by a small but dedicated group of volunteers from Little Prairie Church, Chapel Brewing, Keepsake Cidery, Farmstead Outdoor Adventures, Dundas Historical Society, City of Dundas, and local residents. Several Dundas area businesses are participating in this event, such as Martha’s Eats and Treats and Ruth’s on Stafford. We are looking for more food vendors to join us! We are also looking for area Makers to participate in this event. So, if you are interested in having a booth or volunteering, let us know by contacting info@dundasoktoberfest.com.

After Oktoberfest ends at 6:30 PM, establishments adjacent to the Fest grounds are having an After Party! The Old County Boys will be playing at Dawn’s Corner Bar and the Zillionaires at Chapel Brewing! The L&M Bar and Grill is offering $1.00 off beers for adults wearing an Oktoberfest wrist band!
