Senja Ruuska, APRN, CNM likes watching her patients transform into parents.

“Pregnancy and birth are life events unlike any other,” Senja says. Seeing – and helping – patients become parents is the best thing about her profession.

“Establishing relationships and partnering with patients as they make informed decisions is an important part of my role,” Senja adds.

Senja joins the certified nurse midwives who provide prenatal care and deliver babies at NH+C’s Women’s Health Center, and Birth Center. She has 20 years of experience as a labor and delivery nurse.

Senja believes a low-intervention approach makes a difference in patient safety and satisfaction. She strives to provide individualized patient and family-centered care through support and education.

Senja sees patients in the Women’s Health Center in Northfield plus the Lakeville and Farmington clinics.
