Farmers looking to try cover crops or conservation tillage are invited to the Cover Crop Seeding Equipment Showcase on the Mark Ditlevson Farm, 7430 HWY 30 East near Blooming Prairie on Wednesday, Septemeber 4th at 10:00 am. This event will feature various ways to seed cover crops. Equipment will be on-site with live demonstrations of seed planting. The equipment lineup includes a Gandy air seeder with vertical till , No-till drill, Rice SWCD Inter seeder with side dressing nitrogen, Drone, and Rotary Hoe.
In addition to the equipment showcase, there will be soil health tests/demonstrations, discussion on soil biology, and a presentation on a soil health hybrid corn plot. This will be a great opportunity to network with other farmers and get your cover crop and conservation tillage questions answered.
